How to make a Quantum Leap in 12 Months!

Can we trust what we think?

David NeagleA mentor of mine said to me years ago: "The subconscious is insidious as hell."

I have to say that after years of studying the subconscious mind and working with thousands of students world wide, I am in complete and total agreement.

Our subconscious mind has one goal and one goal only: To keep whatever it has been programmed to believe - its belief system - in tact and protected.

Just think of all the information that comes to you each and every day. Millions of pieces of information are within your awareness all the time and yet your magnificent mind filters out most of it and only allows into your consciousness what IT thinks best supports its own pre-programmed picture.

As a small child, I often wondered why life seemed so difficult for so many people. It was a question that rolled around in my mind until I began to study as an adult, and what I learned was shocking to me!

Our subconscious is so strong at convincing us that we are RIGHT about what we BELIEVE, that we are willing to literally DIE in order to protect those beliefs.

You see, very few people ever think critically enough to really understand what is going on, and what's worse is that our subconscious continually creates our world around us in a way that supports and strengthens our pre-programmed belief system.

But often that belief system is entirely false; and therefore, we experience great amounts of pain in our bodies, our relationships, and in our businesses. For instance, because in business people don't understand what is driving their decision-making process, businesses fail left and right. Why? Because business owners are basing their decision on false beliefs which insist that making money is hard!

And how about relationships? Why do marriages crumble all the time? Where did the love go... and was it even there to begin with, or did these two people base their decision to marry upon a false belief system? As soon one person in the marriage begins to grow or act in a way that challenges their partner's belief system, the subconscious of the partner will insist that the growing person is wrong because they're "breaking the rules". Resentment and hurt feelings build, creating a mask over the love, distorting the relationship. Without a conscious practice of open communication, forgiveness and release, the marriage is doomed. We think we enter into relationships consciously, but nothing can be further from the truth.

Business and relationships are very similar in that we often get into them for the good feelings and aspirations we have around them, but through a series of painful experiences, a mask of bad feelings and disappointment forms. Of course business owners want to be profitable, and many believe that the service or product they're providing through their business is the fulfillment of their life's purpose, and yet after even a short time of difficulty they want to give up... because in order to succeed they would need to change their belief system.

What most often prevents us from being willing to up-level our belief system?

Anger.

Ask yourself: What am I angry about? The answer is your greatest opportunity for learning and growth.

In truth, nothing "makes you angry". Anger is simply the way you react to protect your subconscious mind from changing. It's a defense. And usually, your anger serves to protect a false belief that is keeping you imprisoned in a false reality. Therefore, when you see an angry person, what you're actually seeing is a person who is secretly afraid. They are so scared inside that they MUST make whatever is threatening a change in their belief system wrong. They lash out... never realizing that their reaction has nothing to do with anybody or anything other than their own subconscious, and very often this anger will completely ruin a relationship or a business.

If we would only study how our minds work, not only would we be more successful, but we'd be happier, healthier, more loving people, creating a more magnificent world.

How We Can Empower Our Daughters to Be Successful

I recently read a book entitled “Stepping Out of Line: Lessons for Women Who Want It Their Way...In Life, In Love, and At Work” by Nell Merlino.   Nell Merlino founded the website Make Mine a Million Dollar Business.   She encourages female entrepreneurs to think big and achieve whatever goals they set for themselves.

Obviously, one of Merlino’s goals is to help empower young girls to think big as well. In addition to all of her other achievements, she is also the founder of Take Our Daughters to Work Day. She is an advocate for both women and girls to achieve their dreams.

One of the ideas that Nell Merino establishes in her book is that it is important for women to not just wait until the world changes. Women need to “jump in” and actively start making changes themselves.  Many women wait for someone else, be it their husband, friend boss etc to make changes that will allow women to pursue their passions. The trick is to follow your passion right now.

Even though many barriers have been broken when it comes to women’s rights, women still are limited by their own thoughts as well as society’s status quo for what can be accomplished. Limitations as to what we can achieve are often set in our minds way back in childhood.  Often we spend our entire lives trying to get rid of limiting beliefs.  This fact holds true for both men and women.

I loved “Stepping Out of Line,” and the book provoked me to think about how important it is for women to empower their daughters to be successful and go after their dreams. Woman have overcome some great hurdles, voting, running for office, owning companies and making millions. It is not only a man's world anymore.  It is important for our girls in today’s society to not just realize that they can do what they want with their lives, but also to believe in their dreams.

It is important to teach our young girls that they can create their own financial future.  If they want to work as a high-powered executive it is possible and if they want to work at home and be an entrepreneur this is also possible.  Even if girls are younger, they still might appreciate talking to their moms about how it is possible to be your own boss and work for yourself.

Try starting a simple conversation on the subject with your daughter. You may be amazed at all the creative and inspiring ideas she has. Open conversation and shared thoughts on this subject will lead to her ultimate empowerment.

Trip to Acapulco

We just returned from a business trip in Acapulco, Mexico.  We stayed at the Fairmont Princess it was amazing.  Our room overlooked both the mountains and the ocean.  The sound of the waves hitting the surf at night was so peaceful and put me in such a state of gratitude.  This business has afforded us the opportunity to enjoy so much life has to offer.  While people were home in the states worrying about the economy and advising us not to travel to Mexico, were living life on our terms.  Being a part of this community has led us to live outside of societal thinking.  We listen to our hearts when it comes to the choices we make.

The trip started off with a wonderful Welcome Cocktail reception where we mingled and caught up with so many of our successful friends.  The guest speakers,  Richard Chang and Bob Davies, opened our eyes to our inner passions and personal accountability.  It was two days of very powerful insights.  The final night was a Black Tie Gala on the beach and lucky me, it was my 40th birthday!  What a better way to celebrate than with a few thousand millionaires dressed to the nines.  It was such an elegant evening.  The trip ended too soon, but so many new friendships were formed and each event just brings us to a new level in our personal development journey! Next stop  Hawaii in July!

New Year, New Me!!!

I have been home from my trip to California for the Holidays for about a month now and WOW so many new changes have occurred.  The trip was incredible, the first part of the trip was to Paso Robles a little town in the Central Coast of California.  My Uncle has a home there and my whole family flew out to be with him to celebrate the New Year.  We all had a fabulous time at wine tasting, relaxing in the town park, watching the children play at the Children's museum and eating, eating and more eating.... I decided to stay an additional week with my Mom, sister, niece and my children.    We went to Disneyland for 3 days.  What a great experience.  I have never traveled that far alone with my kids and it was great. They enjoyed the parks and loved getting the characters autographs.  I enjoyed seeing them smile all day long.  It felt so free to just Be!!  You remember that life is all about having fun and LIVING!!!  Sometime we get so catch up in the day to day that we forget to take a step back and be grateful for all we have.  That week alone taught me a lot about myself and it really pushed me to be better once I arrived home.  My extended stay also included a great company Kick-Off Meeting!   I was so inspired being there with so many other entrepreneurs that I came home totally fired up.  For so long I have thought of this business as just something I do on the side to bring in extra money and enjoy my life.  But it is so much bigger than that.  I realize that I have something, a Golden Ticket if you will for others to achieve their personal wealth.  I'm not talking about money per se, but about loving their life and living it to the fullest.  To live with Integrity and on Purpose.  To not let a day go by that they say "I wish I did..." or "There just was no time left for me..."  I realize that to focus, to be consistent and to see the bigger purpose is all you need to make each day as fulfilling as it can be.  My whole life changed on that trip back to the East Coast.  I came back a new person and I am so free because of it!!!

Back From the Wealth Event in Scottsdale!

The weekend in Scottsdale was terrific!  The one day Wealth Expo was hosted by a group of self-made millionaires.  The event was held at the Kierland Resort and amazing facility with beautiful views for the Arizona mountains and the most unbelievable golf course.  The day was filled with marketing secrets from Top Leaders.  They talked about what is it that we are capable of to create the life we truly want.   These 5 key points really summed it up or me...
1. Fall in love with what you do.
2. Ask yourself... What is possible
3. Why are you here?  What do you want in Life?
4. Take Action. What action am I taking today to get me closer to my goal.
5. Gratitude... be thankful you are here and for the person you will become.

Of course what would an event be without a fun after-party.  We went to a great Western outdoor place picnic tables, horseshoe pits, country music and beer. Lots of fun.  I spent time with my great friends Kristin and Lou and their family. They moved out to Arizona from New Jersey just because they can!  It was great to connect with all the people I see all over the world.

Heading to Scottsdale, Arizona!

I'm getting ready to head to Scottsdale, Arizona for a Wealth Expo day!  I am very excited because I have always wanted to go to Arizona and this business has provided that opportunity for me.  I will be spending the weekend with my advisors and good friends, Kristin and Lou. They moved out to Arizona in June to live the life the chose!  This community is so incredible and I am ready to absorb all there is to learn and soak up all that great Energy!!

The First Day of Kindergarten!

This was the second week of school here in the Codispoti household.  What a fun time of year! After getting into the routine of waking up early and getting out of the house, we have finally got the system down.  Jordan loves her new school and has such a busy and fun filled day.  She swims, has drama class, french class, a hands on class, as well as the usual kindergarten activities.  It was a dream of mine to send her to this private school.  When I first moved to New Jersey and saw this adorable little school, I knew in my heart my children would attend.  Now that this day has arrived I feel such joy and am so grateful that we are able to provide this wonderful experience to our children!!
